Open Day FAQs
UTS Open Day will be hosted online on 28 and 31 August. We are offering a range of webinars, online chats, virtual tours and workshops for you to explore all your study options.
Will there be an on campus Open Day?
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation in NSW, UTS Open Day will be entirely online this year.
What do the various activity types mean?
- Webinars – online information sessions or workshops hosted on Zoom by UTS academics and current students
- Online chats – 1-1 text chats with UTS staff and current students
- Virtual tours – online campus and facilities tours available on demand or live
What’s the difference between the 28 August and 31 August event?
Saturday 28 August is the main Open Day event where webinars, online chats, virtual tours and workshops will be offered. Tuesday 31 August is an event for prospective students and parents who might have follow-up questions. Online chats will also be offered on Tuesday 31 August.
How will I access the content?
Your registration username and password will be your access to the online event. Keep these handy at the time of registration.
On Saturday 28 August at 9am, you will be able to access the online event platform with your username and password. For Tuesday 31 August, you will be able to access the platform at 4pm.
We will be sending you more information on how to access the website the day before the event. Keep an eye on your inbox in the lead up.
Do I need to install any software to access the Open Day event portal?
No, you don’t need to install any software to access the event portal. We recommend using a desktop or laptop for the best event experience.
We will be hosting our webinars on Zoom. We recommend you download Zoom and install it on your device before the event.
What should I do if I can't access any of the online activities?
Try to logout and log back into the Open Day event site. In most instances this will resolve any issues.

In the unlikely event we are experiencing a technical issue, you'll receive an email and SMS with information on how to access the activities.
